About ME
Hello Beautiful People! Welcome to my blog! I’m Alysia…a wife and mompreneur trying to keep it all together without falling apart. I’m exploring the world of blogging and hope you join me on my journey. On my blog I will be sharing my experiences as a wife and working mom, my mom wins and fails, parenting resources & trainings, tips and tricks that make my life easier, and things that inspire me.
Faith & Family:
I love Jesus! – I’m a follower of Christ and I pray this blog is a reflection of his love and grace.
I’m married to my high school sweetheart and best friend, Ryan. God made him for me and I know that because as we both continue to change throughout the years our love for each other remains the same. He’s not the man I married nor am I the same woman he married, but I’m more in love with who he is today, flaws and all. He pushes me to be better and challenges me to do the things I’m terrified of. P.S. He wouldn’t want me to insert a picture of him here so just check him out in the family pics.
The Squad
I’m a mother to two of the best children in the world, P & RJ. Raising two children under 3 isn’t easy but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. They make me better every day and are constantly teaching me important life lessons; like clean up messes when they happen, when you leave them they are much harder to address (both literally and figuratively). Or embrace the moment and laugh often and sometimes you just need to cry it out.
The Grind
I am an entrepreneur- (shout out to all the small business owners out there…whoop whoop). I’m an owner of a clinic providing behavioral services to children with developmental disabilities and typically developing children with problem behavior. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Development and Masters of Arts degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
But my friends and family really have no idea what I do. To keep it simple…As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), I provide behavior therapy to children. I help children and families improve behaviors that make the most impact on their lives. I love my job and get the privilege of teaching children the behaviors and skills we often take for granted.
Interests
I like lists (if you can’t tell)! – Yep, your typical analytical, planning, wanna be organized (but the struggle is real lol), type of girl.
I enjoy party planning and hosting family events. I like a good theme, great food, and awesome décor. The finished product is always amazing but I tend to get lost in the details and stress myself out in the process. I’m working on that.
I’m in love with all things pretty and creative- I love crafting, DIY projects, home décor, and have a recent love affair, borderline addiction with my Silhouette Cameo. If you don’t know what it is, Google it and thank me later.
These little pieces of me have shaped my story and will likely shape the content of my blog. I hope you can relate and decide to stay awhile.
